<p></p><div>The Aga Khan University Hospital visited the DHA Degree College for Women as part of a series of events dedicated to increasing awareness about breast cancer in the month of October. </div><div>
</div><div>Dr. Zarka Samoon, Consultant, Oncology at The Aga Khan University Hospital delivered a short lecture to an audience of around 200 students and teachers of the college. The doctor spoke about the, the role of genetics in developing breast cancer, and the importance of early screening in successfully fighting the disease. </div><div>
</div><div>Dr. Zarka also discussed the different ways of self-breast examination and it usefulness in detecting any abnormalities early on. The consultant also informed the audience about the discounts being offered on breast screening tests and requested them to encourage loved ones to get themselves checked. The session ended with a Q&A session in which students shared their queries about the disease with Dr. Zarka. </div>
