Established in 1957 and integrated with the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) main campus in 2010, the Aga Khan Hospital for Women, Garden provides high-quality healthcare services to women and children in Karachi, serving patients from both the local community and beyond.

The hospital offers inpatient care for women and children, along with specialist consultations for the whole family at our outpatient consulting clinics. We also provide referrals to other AKUH specialists, medical centres, diagnostic units, and hospitals, along with 24/7 urgent care services available for women and children.

The Garden Hospital is also equipped with modern facilities consisting of on-site pharmacy, diagnostic services, laboratories, and urgent care services, all of which are readily available 24/7.

Day care surgeries include, but are not limited to:

​Physiotherapy services are available for admitted and visiting patients. Our qualified physiotherapists are equipped with sophisticated modalities to provide expert physiotherapy for patients following a surgery and as advised by the doctor.

Nutrition services are available for admitted and visiting patients. Patients can request a Nutritional Assessment and Screening offered by our Registered Dietician. Adults and children requiring an assessment for obesity or malnourishment can be seen at this clinic and be appropriately advised.​

The Aga Khan Hospital for Women, Garden offers admission for women and children who need surgical or medical treatment and overnight stay. Most patients admitted to the hospital are pregnant women, women suffering from specific illness related to women's health, neonates and children. The hospital integrates highly trained teams of medical professionals with the best clinical practices and a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment, giving patients the best possible diagnosis and treatment options. Our delivery room is equipped to handle normal, instrumental and caesarean cases, as well as minor surgeries.

Normal and Instrumental delivery – expected length of stay is 1 to 2 days

C-Section delivery – expected length of stay is 3 to 4 days

The Aga Khan Hospital for Women, Garden has comfortable and air conditioned General Wards, Semi-private and Private Rooms for accommodation. Please let the Admission Officer know your preference when you register.​​

​Place to Pray:

The Aga Khan Hospital for Women, Garden has a dedicated prayer area (for females only) in front of the private rooms and 1st Floor, New Diagnostic Centre.

Place to Park:​

Dedicated Valet Parking facility is available for all patients and attendants from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Hospital Entrance:

There are two main entrances to the hospital:
  • Entrance to the Main Hospital Building
  • ​Entrance to the Diagnostic Centre

Wheelchairs:

Wheelchairs can be found at the drop-off points near the entrance to the Main Hospital building and entrance to the Diagnostic Centre. The campus has purpose-built ramps to accomodate wheelchair access. All wheelchairs are hospital property and cannot be taken outside the campus. The wheelchairs must be returned to any of the mentioned pick-up points before leaving the hospital.

Safety and Security:

Security is critical to the daily operations of the Hospital. The main purpose of the security team is to protect the patients, visitors, staff, property and information on the campus. We request that you fully cooperate with the directions provided by our Security Guards.​
