Medical Oncology

​The Section of Medical Oncology under the Department of Oncology at The Aga Khan University Hospital specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancers.

Our medical oncologists facilitate our patients in their diagnosis and devise a comprehensive treatment plan in coordination with ​a multidisciplinary team of experts from across Oncology and beyond. Treatment plans vary case by case and may comprise chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy or hormone therapy, or a combination of these. Our oncologists also provide expert advice on the prevention of cancers and recommend necessary interventions to help our patients lead a healthy cancer-free life.

Every cancer case is different and at the Aga Khan University Hospital, our oncologists recognise this only too well. Our oncologists have set up multiple site-specific tumour boards where cases are routinely discussed to determine the best course of action for our cancer patients.
